Every woman deserves the chance to hope again

At Restore Hope, our mission is to bring hope to women facing the seemingly hopeless situation of homelessness. We do this by not only providing practical resources but also investing our time and effort into building meaningful relationships with those we serve.

If you are a woman experiencing homelessness in New York City or Washington, DC, or you know someone in need of information, check out our resource databases for information on organizations offering services such as meals, shelter, showers, case management, and much more.

Restore Hope Mentorship Program Launch

We are excited to announce the official launch of our new Restore Hope Mentorship Program! Volunteer mentors are available to connect one-on-one with women experiencing homelessness, journeying with them through a personalized action plan. Mentors, working alongside program staff, provide not just a trusted confidante, but also practical tools such as resource referrals along with opportunities for personal growth and development. Learn more about our approach to helping women find hope and healing and how you can get involved by volunteering or helping to support our work financially!

“The support…will be something I will never forget for the rest of my time on this earth.” ~ Alicia

We believe in the power of relationship

At Restore Hope, we work to build relationships with women experiencing homelessness. It is through these relationships that we are able to not only help make connections to meet immediate needs such as food and shelter but to dig deeper to discover the underlying cause of their situation. We don’t have all the answers, but we bring what we do have – hope for a better future.

We can’t do this work alone. We need friends like you to link arms with us as we work together to serve women who need a reminder that they are seen, they are loved, and there is hope.

Restore Hope Washington DC

Five years ago Restore Hope launched our first outreaches in New York City. Soon we will officially launch programming in a second location – Washington DC. Visit our Get Involved page to see how you can help us bring hope to the streets!

Every night hundreds of women experience homelessness in our nation’s capital. We have the opportunity to step in and remind these women that they are not forgotten as we build friendships, provide connections to resources, and journey with them on the path to hope and restoration.

Visit our Washington DC page to learn more about homelessness in the District, take a moment to read about our approach to serving women, and see the impact of our work in the lives of Alicia and Kat.

“Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’

“Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’”

Matthew 25: 34-40 (NKJV)
